Description
The Clearing Of The Flood is certainly a surreal work, or at least abstract realism with a touch of surrealism. Floods occur every day across the world, and storms, weather and floods are a very strong artistic influence on my creativity. I find the colors that occur in nature plus the movement of waters and clouds to be an extremely engaging creative energy, but they cause much havoc world wide. I don't attempt to make my storm works look pretty - I make them as rugged and grunge-like as far as I feel I can push the boundaries of comfort.
There is a lot of textural and color effects I have done post process on this work, and the original, now in the hands of the buyer is far more sedate - but I prefer the rugged look of the weather as it is felt - not as it may be seen.

Hi, Zeana, I think like reading your descriptions almost (Almost) as much as looking at your Paintings. How big is this piece in the original size? Just so I am clear, though, the original in the hands of the lucky new owner is a more subdued version of this enhanced reproduction? Do you pump up the colors on a computer graphics program like Photo Shop? Whatever you used to get to here with it, is wonderful. Personally, I think it would be amiss of artist of today not to take full advantage of all this incredible technology we have at our fingertips.
